Rnd 1: Magic ring, ch 2. 16 hdc in center, join with sl st to top of first hdc. Break off yarn and weave in.
Rnd 2: Working on wrong side (I think this makes the center loop better), make a (3hdc puff stitch, ch 1) in each st of previous row. Join with sl st to top of first puff, break off yarn and weave in.
Rnd 3: Working in a ch-1 space between puff stitches, attach yarn and ch 2 (counts as dc), 4 dc cluster, ch 1, continue round with (5 dc cluster, ch 1) in each space. Join with sl st to top of first cluster, break off yarn and weave in.
Rnd 4: Working in a ch-1 space between clusters, attach yarn and ch 2 (counts as dc), 2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc (makes a corner), 3 dc in each of next three ch-1 spaces (makes a side); repeat for three remaining sides of the square. Join with a sl st to top of first dc, break off yarn and weave in.
